Sixth Annual St. Louis Railroaad Prototype Modelers Meet

Gentlemen,

Save the date!  The SIXTH ANNUAL St. Louis RPM Meet will be held on Friday, July 27th and Saturday, July 28th at the Gateway Convention Center, One Gateway Drive, Collinsville, IL 62234.  Collinsville is 12 miles east of metro St. Louis on I-55/70.  Meet Hours: 9 AM to 10 PM both days.

St. Louis RPM 2011 was a tremendous success.  Over 270 railroad modelers and historians from around the United States and Canada brought 1,000 models of all scales and gauges for display, making St. Louis RPM the second largest RPM event in the nation with the largest attendee model display of any model railroad meet anywhere.  We hosted presentations by nationally-recognized modelers and historians, 55 high-quality vendor tables, and 12 railroad historical societies—also making St. Louis RPM one of the largest gatherings of railroad historical societies annually.  Live, hands-on weathering clinics were presented.  We were also fortunate to present over $5,000 in door prizes on behalf of our sponsors, vendors, manufacturers and historical societies.  Everyone left with at least one gift!

St. Louis RPM is all about fellowship.  Come and meet your fellow modelers, teach your modeling methods, learn from others, and make lasting friendships.  Bring your models and show the modeling community what you’re doing.  Models from all scales, gauges, prototypes and eras are welcome.

In 2012, all-new presentations by nationally-recognized clinicians will run from 10 AM to 7:30 PM.  Live, hands-on weathering clinics will run all day, both days.  60+ tables of elite local and national vendors plus over 12 railroad historical societies will be on hand to supply your modeling needs.  We’re planning a Freemo display and a few surprises too!  St. Louis RPM is also the most affordable of the big RPM meets with admission set at just $20 for both days.

A pre-RPM social and layout visits are planned.  Photos of our previous meets are online at http://www.pbase.com/golden1014and http://www.pbase.com/golden1014/2011_st_louis_rpm_meet.
